Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst - Hedge Funds - 2+ years- Mumbai/Pune/Gurgaon/Chennai

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Analyst or Senior Research Analyst with expertise in Hedge Funds, specifically within the Fintech, Software, or Technology sectors. This role involves conducting detailed research and analysis to identify investment opportunities, develop financial models, and assist with portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct in-depth research on companies in the Fintech, Software, and Crypto sectors, including reviewing financial statements, industry trends, and market data.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for company valuations, financial performance forecasting, and investment opportunity identification.
3. Prepare investment notes, present findings to the portfolio management team, and articulate investment theses and recommendations.
4. Monitor industry trends, news, and events to pinpoint potential investment opportunities and risks.
5. Collaborate with the portfolio management team to create and execute investment strategies.
6. Assist in due diligence for potential investments, including reviewing company documents, participating in management calls, and conducting site visits.
7. Stay current with market trends and regulatory changes impacting the sectors and the firm’s investments.
8. Contribute to the development of the firm's investment theses and strategies.
9. Work closely with the research team to share information, ideas, and insights.
Requirements:
1. MBA, CA, or CFA with 2-5 years of experience in an investment research role, preferably within the Hedge Fund space or in Fintech/Software/Crypto sectors.
2. Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
3. Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to assess potential investment opportunities effectively.
4. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas and recommendations to senior management.
5. Familiarity with Fintech/Software sector trends, companies, and industry dynamics.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
9. Familiarity with financial databases and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).
