Data Science Consultant – Supply Chain & Operations Analytics

Seeking an experienced Data Science Consultant to join our Supply Chain & Operations Analytics team. As a Data Science Consultant, you will be responsible for applying advanced data science techniques to solve complex problems in supply chain management, logistics, and operations. You will work closely with clients to understand their challenges, develop tailored solutions, and implement data-driven strategies that enhance supply chain performance.

Requirement-
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data science, analytics, or consulting, with a focus on supply chain and operations.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, and experience with data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn).
- Experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting, optimization).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, network design, and transportation management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand business challenges, define project objectives, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) in supply chain and operations.
- Develop and implement data science models to optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, production scheduling, transportation, and supply chain network design.
- Utilize machine learning, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques to build predictive models and simulations.
- Work with large datasets and perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, machine learning, and supply chain analytics.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the development of analytical tools and frameworks.
Experience and Education:
• 5-6 years of experience in Machine Learning and/or Optimization Techniques.
• Master’s degree in technology or relative field (e.g. MSc in Statistics and Operations
• Certifications in any one or two of the areas will be an added advantage: Python, AI/ML, Optimization,
Simulation, any of the cloud platforms (Azure/ GCP/ AWS)
