Manager / Senior Manager – Actuarial Pricing or Reserving – Indian / Domestic General Insurance – 4+ Years - Bangalore

Role and Responsibilities:
Pricing:
Leading the development of new GI (General Insurance) products, incorporating business requirements, market research, pricing strategies, and regulatory compliance.
Designing and maintaining comprehensive pricing and profitability models to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness.
Overseeing customer funnel management using risk analytics to monitor and enhance performance.
Managing and optimizing the profitability of the product portfolio, ensuring financial targets are met.
Leading and mentor a team of 3-4 members, fostering their professional development and ensuring effective team performance.
Reserving:
Developing and implementing actuarial models for various purposes, including liability valuation, asset-liability management (ALM), capital projections, reserve risk assessment, and reinsurance management.
Overseeing key activities such as evaluating policyholders' liabilities, managing capital, preparing regulatory actuarial submissions, and handling reinsurance arrangements.
Working with Product, Technology, and Analytics teams to create automated data structures and reporting systems for corporate actuarial models.
Performing solvency projections and determine capital requirements as needed.
Managing reserves for different lines of business, analyze the performance of various lines, ensure reserve adequacy, and calculate margins for adverse deviations.
Leading and mentor a team of 3-4 members, fostering their professional development and ensuring effective team performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in actuarial pricing / actuarial reserving within the General Insurance sector.
Advanced analytical abilities and expertise in statistical tools and methodologies.
Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex concepts and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Mandatory people management experience.
