Key Responsibilities
- Collect detailed input on materials, equipment, loading conditions, and unique design elements to be incorporated into the structural design.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure structural designs align seamlessly with overall project objectives.
- Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for structural materials, including detailed calculations for steel, concrete, and other resources to ensure a comprehensive and cost-effective BOQ.
- Assess the practicality of proposed structural designs through on-site evaluations.
- Conduct site visits to review ground conditions, existing structures, and other factors influencing design execution, ensuring feasibility in real-world conditions.
- Finalize and release detailed construction-ready structural designs after thorough reviews and approvals, including drawings, specifications, and notes for project execution.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with the latest Indian Standards (IS) codes.
- Monitor and maintain records of existing structures, conduct internal audits, review BMC audit findings, and develop action plans, schedules, and budgets accordingly.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering with structural Engineer certificate/ License from BMC.
- M. Tech (Structures)
- Experience: 10–18 years, with a minimum of 7 years as a Structural Design Engineer
