Accountant: Spanish- 3+years- Remote

Location: Remote (Europe Shift)

Summary:

We are looking for a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial accounting, ideally with some exposure to the property and real estate sector. You will be preparing monthly management accounts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering insights into financial variances. A detail-oriented approach to financial analysis and reporting is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing and reviewing monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.
  2. Ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial statements per company policies.
  3. Collaborating with Finance Managers and Operations teams to verify monthly management accounts.
  4. Analyzing financial results and variances, providing detailed explanations to enhance business understanding.
  5. Preparing and reviewing VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  2. Exposure to property or real estate accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
  3. Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing).
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
