LINUX Engineer– LINUX, VMware, AWS/Azure (5-8 Years)
An excellent opportunity for an individual holding an overall 5+ years of experience in Linux patch, update, upgrade or server build / provisioning. The profile is ideal for a person holding an extensive experience in managing new / refresh servers (VM or physical) build and perform a cutover to live

Responsibilities:
Coordinating and managing new / refresh servers (VM or physical) build and perform a cutover to live
Leading and delivering enterprise level Linux patch, update, upgrade or server build / provisioning
Increasing our agility by developing build automation, faster and more flexible deployment techniques, powerful configuration management
Identifying and automating manual tasks and processes
Working on Advanced configuration and administration of Linux servers
Working with internal business partners to develop requirements and solutions
Expanding and evolving our infrastructure across dedicated hosted systems and cloud based deployments
Developing sophisticated and flexible monitoring services to highlight performance and availability issues
Supporting and maintaining production systems (including on-call cover where required)
Adherence to ITIL standards and processes
Requirements:
Strong Automation Skills essential
Patch failure troubleshooting skill sets
Patch success and failure reporting management (update and tracking)
In depth knowledge of Linux, Redhat and Suse (multiple versions) essential
Experience supporting a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) required
Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies, VMWare, vRealize required
Scripting languages, shell scripting, Perl, bash, Python, Javascript essential
Advantage if the candidate have AIX / Cloud – AWS or/and Azure or/and Azure Stack / Terraform skillsets
Knowledge of ITIL processes required
Highly proficient troubleshooting and support skills within virtual technologies essential
Strong analytical skills required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations is essential
