Responsibilities
- Leading the design, development, and optimization of data management systems to ensure efficient data flow, storage, and retrieval in asset management environments.
- Utilizing advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for decision-making in portfolio management, risk analysis, and performance reporting.
- Overseeing the integration of disparate data sources, ensuring seamless data flow between internal systems, third-party data providers, and asset management platforms.
- Providing in-depth support for asset management operations, leveraging data to enhance portfolio analysis, investment strategies, and risk management processes.
- Working closely with portfolio managers, traders, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, deliver tailored solutions, and improve data-driven decision-making.
- Establishing and maintain strong data governance practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Developing and deliver regular data reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to key stakeholders, highlighting insights for investment decisions and portfolio optimization.
- Leading initiatives to automate data workflows and reporting processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual interventions in asset management operations..
- Managing end-to-end data-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet business requirements, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in asset management, with a strong focus on data management and SQL in financial services or investment management.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting; strong understanding of data management principles, data warehousing, and database architecture.
- Asset Management Knowledge: In-depth understanding of asset management operations, including portfolio management, investment strategies, risk management, and financial performance reporting.
- Data Integration & Optimization: Proven experience in integrating multiple data sources (internal and external) and optimizing data flows for seamless access and analysis.
- Data Governance & Quality: Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards within the asset management industry, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Reporting & Analytics: Experience in designing and delivering data reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to business stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making in asset management.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Familiarity with automating data workflows and improving data processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention in asset management operations.
- Cloud & Database Platforms: Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Education: A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in data management, SQL, or asset management are a plus.
