Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Trader to join our Investment Team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for day-to-day trading activities, performing trade settlements, and supporting various operational duties related to trading functions. Your contributions will help ensure smooth execution and compliance with regulatory standards while working closely with Fund Managers on strategy development and fund deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Trade Execution & Operations: Perform precise and data-intensive trade calculations, executing trades with accuracy and efficiency under pressure.
2-Collaborate with Fund Managers: Engage with Fund Managers to develop and execute strategies for daily fund deployment and portfolio rebalancing exercises.
3-Trade Reconciliation: Ensure executed trades are accurately reconciled with the order management system.
4-Compliance & Regulation: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for trading.
5-Operational Efficiency: Plan and execute assigned work with minimal supervision, maintaining high accuracy and meeting deadlines.
6-Process Documentation: Draft and update SOPs for internal processes related to trading and settlement.
7-Compliance & Risk Reporting: Prepare, monitor, and submit various compliance and risk reports in line with regulatory requirements.
8-Audit Support: Coordinate the preparation of data required for statutory and internal audits.
9-End-to-End Trade Settlement: Manage the complete trade settlement process and handle other operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
1-Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a trader or dealer in Buyside Asset Management Companies (AMC) or Sell-Side Broking firms.
2-Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Inter CA qualification or pursuing CFA will be an added advantage.
3-Technical Skills:
a-Hands-on experience with Bloomberg.
b-Familiarity with WealthSpectrum, Miles, and NSDL Steady will be a plus.
c-Communication: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.
4-Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and strong governance of data in systems.
5-Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently within tight timeframes.
6-Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7-Process Improvement: Proactive in identifying and implementing process automation solutions.
